The chapel opened in January 2008. Situated between the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales, in an area of
outstanding natural beauty with 360 degree views of the Lake District Fells and surrounding countryside, this is an
alternative self catering venue to bring family and friends for an active or relaxing holiday, short break, celebration or
reunion. It also provides the perfect environment for secluded business meetings.

In the unspoilt Eden Valley, Cumbria, North West England. Kaber Chapel was built in 1892
and has recently been converted into a luxury 'spa' vacation retreat sleeping 10/12 guests with 5 bedrooms,
5 bathrooms, sauna, indoor wooden barrel hot tub and a Scandinavian style indoor BBQ.

Having first viewed the chapel for sale in
May 2006 we eventually completed the
purchase in January 2007 having achieved
full planning permission for a luxury holiday
home. The conversion took eight months. We
have spent many hours, with the help of an
architect, to create a stunning and
contemporary design that we think captures
the best from two different cultural styles
whilst still retaining many of the chapel
features..

We are a mixed cultural couple - British and
Norwegian - living in Norway but with
family living in a neighbouring village to
Kaber. This is our dream place. It's designed
to help us and others escape their stressful
lives, to be active by walking or cycling in
the area or just relaxing with the chapel
facilities.

To reduce the carbon footprint of this
property we have installed an air source heat
pump which reduces the use of fossil fuels by
up to 40%. The building has been designed
to be energy efficient and scores over 90% on
energy efficiency.
